Shiv Ji

Shiv is the supreme cosmic pillar of Shaivism, representing the consciousness that transcends life and death. As Mahadev, he remains absorbed in deep meditation on Mount Kailash for the welfare of the universe. His physical form is symbolic: the blue throat signifies his sacrifice in consuming poison (Halahala), the serpent Vasuki around his neck represents mastery over ego, and the Trishul stands for the balance of the three gunas. Unlike other deities, he is worshiped as the Nirguna Brahman through the Shivling, signifying an infinite source of energy. He is the patron of arts (Nataraja) and the ultimate source of spiritual liberation, guiding devotees from the darkness of ignorance toward the light of self-realization and eternal peace.
