Baspur Shiv Mandir, also known as Byaspur Shiva Temple, is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the Cossimbazar area of Murshidabad, West Bengal. The presiding deity is worshipped as Byasa Dev, a form of Lord Shiva. Historical sources state that the temple was built in 1811 by Pandit Ramkeshava Devasharman and was later renovated in 1918 and 1995. The sanctum houses a Shiva Lingam traditionally known as Byasa Dev. The temple is notable for its distinctive architectural features, including a chala-style structure, an eight-sided pinnacle, lotus motifs, kalash elements and a trident. Decorative terracotta and painted motifs depicting religious themes can also be seen on the temple. Maha Shivaratri is an important religious occasion here, attracting devotees for worship and prayers.
