Kedarnath Temple

According to Hindu mythology, the Pandavas built the Kedarnath Temple to seek forgiveness from Lord Shiva after the Mahabharata war. The present structure is believed to have been revived by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. The temple remains open only for six months each year due to extreme weather conditions.
