Lakshmi Narayan Temple( New Delhi)

The temple was built by the Birla Group between 1933 and 1939 and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi agreed to inaugurate it on the condition that people of all castes could enter. It is considered the first large Hindu temple built in Delhi in modern times. Major festivals celebrated here include Janmashtami, Diwali, Ram Navami, and Navratri.
