Mahesh Lord Jagannath Temple is a historic Hindu temple located in Mahesh, Serampore, Hooghly, West Bengal. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Devi Subhadra, who are worshipped together as the Holy Trinity. According to the temple's official history, the tradition of worship at Mahesh dates back to the fourteenth century, when the saint Drubananda Brahmachari established the deities at Mahesh. The present temple structure was built in 1855 by Nayanchand Mallick after concerns about erosion along the Bhagirathi River. The temple is also closely associated with the famous Mahesh Rathayatra, which the Hooghly district administration describes as Bengal's oldest chariot festival, traditionally celebrated since 1396. The temple remains an important centre of Jagannath worship and religious activities in the region.
