Parvati Hill Temple (Pune)

The temple was constructed by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao in 1749. According to legend, the temple was built after Kashibai (mother of the Peshwa) was cured of an ailment by Goddess Parvati’s blessings. The temple complex includes shrines dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, Kartikeya, Vitthal, and Rama. It also has a museum preserving Peshwa-era artifacts.

Parvati Hill Temple is one of the oldest heritage temple complexes in Pune, situated atop Parvati Hill at around 2,100 feet above sea level. It was built during the rule of the Peshwa dynasty and remains a major spiritual and historical landmark. Devotees climb over 100 steps to reach the temple.
