Ramchaura Mandir is a historic Hindu temple in Hajipur, Vaishali, Bihar, dedicated to Lord Rama. The temple is especially known for the worship of sacred footprints associated with Lord Rama rather than a principal idol. According to local tradition, Lord Rama visited this place while travelling toward Janakpur with Lakshmana and Sage Vishwamitra. Local beliefs also associate the site with Lord Rama’s Mundan ceremony. The temple is situated on an ancient raised mound and is considered an important religious place for devotees of Lord Rama. Ram Navami is the principal festival celebrated here, and a fair is traditionally organised around the festival. Archaeological objects discovered at Ramchaura have also been reported as being preserved at the Patna Museum.
