Shri Bankey Bihari Ji Temple, Bharatpur

According to local tradition, the idol of Lord Krishna was received by a Naga sage at Kadamba Khandi near Kaman. While the sage was travelling toward Jaipur, the idol could not be moved further from Bharatpur. It was believed that Lord Krishna wished to remain there, and the ruler of Bharatpur subsequently established the temple within the fort. The temple belongs to the Nimbark Vaishnav tradition.
