The temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji, a Hindu merchant. According to legend, the idols of the three goddesses were found in the sea during the construction of the Hornby Vellard project and later installed in the temple. Devotees believe that praying here brings prosperity, happiness, and success. The temple receives huge crowds during Navratri, Diwali, and Fridays.
