Location: Draksharamam
According to the Skanda Purana, the demon Tarakasura possessed a powerful Shiva Lingam that made him invincible. Lord Kartikeya shattered the Lingam into five pieces using the Agneyastra, and these fragments were installed at five sacred places known as the Pancharama Kshetras. Draksharamam is one of these five holy temples. The temple is also associated with the legend of Daksha Prajapati's Yajna, from which the place derives its ancient name, Daksharamam. Devotees believe that worshipping Lord Bhimeswara and Goddess Manikyamba grants peace, prosperity, and liberation from sins.
