About
Dattatreya Ji is one of the most revered spiritual deities in Hinduism and is believed to be the combined incarnation of the holy trinity — Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva. According to Hindu scriptures, he was born to Sage Atri and Mata Anusuya. Dattatreya symbolizes divine wisdom, renunciation, yoga, and universal consciousness. He is usually depicted with three heads representing the Trimurti and accompanied by four dogs, symbolizing the four Vedas, along with a sacred cow representing Mother Earth and purity. Dattatreya Ji is worshipped mainly by seekers of spiritual knowledge, yogis, and devotees seeking inner peace and liberation. Thursday and Datta Jayanti are considered highly auspicious for his worship. Devotees perform Guru Charitra Path, chant Datta mantras, meditate, and offer food and charity. Worshipping Dattatreya Ji is believed to remove negativity, fears, ancestral doshas, and obstacles while bringing wisdom, prosperity, and spiritual awakening. His teachings inspire devotees to learn from nature, practice detachment, and live a life of compassion, truth, and devotion.
