He resides in Vaikuntha, accompanied by his consort Goddess Lakshmi. He is often shown reclining on the serpent Sheshnag in the cosmic ocean known as Kshira Sagara.Devotion to Vishnu brings peace, prosperity, and liberation (moksha).
